All Visual Basic Feeds in one place!

Esther Schindler who is the editor of the email newsletter DevSource Update recently wrote about Visual C++ and Microsoft's LINQ Project  that adds the ability to use SQL code directly in VB and C# programs (emphasis mine): Ever since the PDC, developers and the press have been talking about the LINQ technology that Microsoft showed off. The overwhelming response appears to be positive, and from all I can tell (I haven't taken the time to read th ... [ read more ]

This led to some discussion – including a couple people observing that this hack should probably be in the UI layer, not the business layer (which is where I’d put it).   In concept I agree with the idea that the hack could belong in the UI layer. However, that is a slippery slope for two ... [ read more ]

In just 4 weeks - Oct 22 & 23 as announced by Chris Kinsman What I like about Code Camp idea is its spirit - for developers and by developers it is free - hard to beat this one ;) timing - Saturday and Sunday - works perfect for me. I know that I will not have to change my plans re the Code Camp because of a travel or meeting at work. When ... [ read more ]
