To join in the chain of reminiscences , I have to say that I fondly remember Almost Live! as an invaluable resource to me when I was a new transplant to Seattle back in 1992 knowing no one and virtually nothing about the city. How else was I to know that Ballard was full of old Norwegians who couldn’t drive? That Freemont was populated almost entirely by hippies? That Aurora Ave. was the place to go to get a hooker? Microsoft has released a handful of patches, two of which it deems "critical," so make sure you get them. Related to security, I wanted to alert you to tomorrow's level 300 MSDN Webcast, "Spontaneous Islands of Trust" to be presented by architect/evangelist Vittorio Bertocci 9-10:30 Pacific time. Watch out when inheriting from DataGridviewColumn

See the bottom of this post if you just want to see a quick solution ;-) What's this about? The new .net 2.0 datagridview is a great control and implementing custom columns is very easy, but doing so has a tricky setback: inherited fields and properties are not persisted. I'm sure this little oversight is something that will be mended soon enough, but it in the meantime the only solution seems to be to override the clone functionality. I have to admit that he's always been a hero of mine (for many reasons), but now that I know his favorite TV show is mine, well that just tips the scale. :P Charles did a great job with the questions.
