While I was hanging out at the Addison-Wesley booth, I picked up a copy of two updated editions that I’d been eyeing. One is the updated C# Programming Language specification that includes a lot of hard work by Mads : And the other is the updated Framework Design Guidelines: Both look just awesome. I think they’re also supposed to be giving out this sooner or later: So I can hopefully pick up one of those too!
Here's a community interview from our Italian Visual Basic MVP Alessandro Del Sole with John Stallo, a Program Manager working on RAD tools. I first met John on my interview loop at Microsoft. What immediately stuck me when I met him was his Italian name but he has a very cool Australian accent. Being that we both have an Italian heritage, in the first part of my interview we talked about where we were from. The WinForms Timer class allows the user to perform a particular action at a set interval.  Timer objects fire a Tick event at the set time which users can easily respond to.  This is very useful if a developer wants to check for a particular condition say every 2 seconds ( for the remainder of this article I'm going to use 2 seconds as a practical example even though it's really any arbitrary time period).
