Barn Raising - SOA Style

So, all you SOA guru's out there, here's a good one for you.

You have 10 days to build a website that generates dynamic content from a SQL Server database. The general idea is to have a data access layer that returns XML and for the page engine to provide XSLT to put this content into some web pages.

So how should the data access be done? Datareaders, datasets, XMLDatareaders ? Can you help?
